Almost every salon in Denver uses Oribe and Davines and since I am rather easy to persuade, I often buy products the stylists recommend. After all, I tell myself this is the only set of hair I have. After buying all these products through a suggestion, I quickly learned to love them and they have since become a staple in my everyday hair routine.
Oribe Brilliance & Shine Shampoo: Let me start by saying this stuff lasts forever. It is a little more expensive than I would like to pay (8.5 oz bottle is $49), but it does wonders for my hair. I do believe it is worth every penny. It lasts especially long if your hair is able to not be washed everyday. For instance, I only wash my hair about twice a week. Being blonde and having naturally dry hair, I want something to add shine to my hair and this is the stuff! It isn’t heavy and leaves your hair truly feeling refreshed.
Oribe Brilliance & Shine Conditioner: This of course is the follow up for the Brilliance & Shine shampoo. A little goes a very long way! I maybe use a quarter size amount of product. I let it sit on the ends of my hair while I shave and do a facial scrub. Sometimes I often wrap my hair up in a bun so I make sure no product washes out before I am ready.
Oribe Supershine Moisturizing Cream:This goes on my ends EVERY time I get out of the shower. Living in Denver, my hair is constantly calling for moisture. I put this one when my hair is wet and blow dry it after, This makes a world of difference for my poor ends. A little also goes a long way, maybe a dime size. In the past when I have traveled, and not had this product, I absolutely noticed a difference in the texture of my hair and how dry it was.
Oribe Gold Lust Dry Shampoo: Every girl needs a dry shampoo and this one definitely fills the bill! I have tried many dry shampoos in my time and this is definitely one of my favorites. This one allows be to go at least two extra days without having to go through the entire washing process. It doesn’t irritate my scalp or leave a gross baby powder look. One other win – it smells so good!
Oribe Swept Up Volume Powder Spray: This stuff is perfect for after styling your hair. It just adds that little extra something. I also always use it after getting my hair done because I feel like they blow out my hair so straight and so smooth that it ends up looking super flat and needing some life. I just section off my hair and spray it at the roots. I only do the pieces around my face just because they are lighter and not weighed down by extensions. After spraying, I flip my hair over and give it a good run through with my hair and flip it back over and wallah!
Oribe Signature Moisture Masque: This is one of those products that I debated over for a few months. It is super expensive for something you end up washing out of your hair (haha!). I have no idea why I hesitated so much on this product, but not the shampoo or conditioner. Also, I will be the first to admit I am not the best at using this product regularly. One of my favorite ways to apply it is at night and twisting my hair in a bun and sleeping with it in. This way I know I am getting my value. The one hiccup I run into often (and is totally my fault) is that I am rushing in the morning and I realize I need to wash it out! But overall, highly recommend whether you let it sit on your hair overnight or just for 20 min!
Drybar Hot Toddy Heat Protectant Mist: I am guilty of almost always applying heat to my hair at some point everyday. I try to give my hair a day or two of rest, but it doesn’t always happen. Since I always style my hair, I need to always make sure to protect it. I got a sample of this a while back and I became hooked. It seems to help cut back on the dead ends I used to get before using a protective product. It also has a nice smell, that is rather strong, but I like it.
Davines Oi Oil: This is a product I was introduced to only after getting extensions. It is applied only at the ends of your hair for additional moisture. I apply it in the morning and at night and use just a little bit each time. Since extensions are not inexpensive, I want to do all I can to make sure I keep my hair as happy and healthy as possible. Which means making sure it is hydrated!
